I would like to ride my scooter from Daytona, FL to Atlanta, GA solo. I have a 05 Retro 50cc scooter. How feasible is this idea and what tips do you have? well its 436 miles and your poor little scooter would be long dead before you ever got partway, you need a much bigger bike to go 6 hours or so at high speed comfortably and then, you have to turn around and go home on a small bike like a 250 your whole body would be buzzing when you stopped from the vibration of the handle bars. You need to find a better way to do it than your scooter, it will not make it sorry. It would be a long ride, but it can be done. You cant go on freeway so map out a route without them. I would bring and extra gas can. Mopeds can go as far as a car or motorcycle due to tank size. They are easy to work on if you break down though... I would worry about your top speed. If you can only do 30 or 40mph and everything else wants to do 50+, then you are going to be in a potentially hazardous situation. Depending on what type of roads you can use,it may be feasible but I personally wouldnt do it. Back roads only! Rather small to deal with if you try to wind it out it wont last. Dont let the large trucks blow you over.....better yet...rent a Harley...it will be a lot funner and you will have enough power. I would worry about your top speed. I have a 2000 Camaro that has had problems with the driver's side window not rolling up and down ever since I bought it 3 years ago. We have replaced the motor about 3 times already. I need help trying to figure out what it wrong with it this time because inspection is due... The window gave out a few months after I bought it, and the motor was replaced by professionals. Then maybe a year later, there goes the motor again. This time a friend replaced it, and it worked okay for about another year until it decided that it would work when it wanted to... it was replaced once again with a spare motor from the junkyard, but this one was a little messed up because my friend used it to make a turret for his nerf gun... (long story.) It once again worked and then a few months later started randomly working and not working again, and would sometimes be able to roll back up if you slammed hard enough on the door panel... So last November or so, I broke down and bought a brand new motor, thinking the motor from the junkyard had a faulty connector or something. It worked fine until last month, and since then, the window has not been able to roll down. I don't think it's the motor anymore, after replacing it so many times... could it be the switch? The switch on the driver's side controls both the driver's and passenger's window, and the passenger one is working just fine. When I press the switch to roll it down, it makes a faint electrical humming noise, not sure how to better describe it... or could it be bad wiring? A fuse? If it's a bad wire or something, how would we go about replacing that? If it has anything to do with it, this car sometimes has the problem that when it goes over a bump, the radio and both windows quit working, but it hasn't done that in over a year...
